Yarns for sale spun from 100% wool hand dyed with natural dyes

This 100% wool yarn is beloved by weavers and knitters alike. It is soft, has a beautiful luster, and takes natural dyes very well, making deep rich colors. Most people can wear garments made from this yarn in contact with their skin. For weavers, it can be used in tapestry or rugs, where it packs tightly to make a very sharp edge, as well as in blankets and garments. Knitters and crocheters will enjoy its softness and suppleness, and it has been used for felting as well. It is available in three weights:

  • Worsted weight - our most popular weight, generally in stock
Single ply, 190 yards per 4 oz. skein, 760 yards per pound
Knitters: Needle size No. 8, 5 stitches per inch, 6 rows per inch
